Father Daughter Dance

Recently I helped out with my local father daughter dance, I feel like I didn’t do much but I think I helped out a bit, there wasn’t much for me to do. My sister and I went after a church member and family friend asked me and her to help out. We ended up helping out for 5 hours through the night with a yummy dinner in between. I saw a few girls and their dads from my human geography class which I thought was nice for them. Throughout the night I helped collect tickets and handed out picture frames to decorate in between during my break and at the end, we helped clean up scraps and pick decorations. Even though I’ve never been to one of the dances with my dad it’s nice to help out the community as much as I can.

We Nourish!

In my A.P. Human Geography class, we are doing an AP with WE project called WE NOURISH. The group that I’m in that contributes to this big project, is the social media and promotion part of it. WE NOURISH is a project we are doing locally, we are planning to teach local citizens who do not have the opportunity to cook nutritious meals for their family and they will have the opportunity to learn to make better meals without having to spend too much. I’m so glad that I get to help out friends and my community, just by doing this it helps me think of all the ways that we can make the world better. One of my classmates made this great logo, I think she did amazing on it since it really tells a lot about the project.

Entering Into High School

My A.P. Human Geography class has made me realise how much different high school is from middle school. Social status doesn’t mean as much but it is still there, when you take harder classes then you are more likely to be surrounded by people who work hard. You can’t put off homework until the day of the end of the semester. Even though my A.P. class is a bit challenging at times, I would say it is worth it all just taking this class alone has opened my eyes on how I view the world, before I didn’t know how many countries there even are, can i just tell you there are a lot (197 to be exact).  If you are anything like me doing homework just isn’t easy, you either have the motivation to do it or you don’t. Taking this class you have to have the motivation, otherwise, you don’t want to let your peers down when they are counting on you. Keep up on reading, do your homework, pay attention and be the best you can be when you enter into high school.
